Just a thought i had.....If a current serving airmen gets through OASC no probs how does IOT work for them? do they have to do the whole 30 weeks? I know WO's get "fast track" commission!
 
In short they are put onto a main course and wear the same rank, in theory there is no difference to how they are treated or what standards they have to meet to pass. In practice the NCOs amongst them may get some more responsibility during the early part of the course such as course leader etc. Also they are not going to get let off with not knowing things that a civvy entrant might get away with eg how to salute, who to call sir/FS.
