I heard unofficially that I got picked up by the board for promotion.
I was asked a week ago by someone:
Has the Jengo spoken to you yet?
No, I replied, why, am I in the sh1t?
Cant tell you.
Come on now,whats the gen?
You've been picked up for promotion. Dont tell anyone though as the Jengo is supposed to tell you.

The Jengo should tell you soon although he/she is poor at admin stuff.

A week later and I'm still no wiser.
If I am promoted I'm well chuffed:PDT_Xtremez_28:, but somewhat disappointed by the Jengo/management for not telling me yet. Perhaps they are swapping posts around as they see fit before telling me?

If i'm not promoted there might very well be a rant/wedgie on the way to the person who "unofficially" told me.:PDT_Xtremez_25:

The person who told me barely knows me and I wouldnt have thought it to be a wind up.
I have heard that the mech board is now up to the 80's.

Should I call my drafter and ask them? That way I dont drop the person in the sh1te when I go to my Jengo (if I am promoted) and ask where and when I'm off.

On that subject, anyone got the number for the Cott drafter for mechanical trade? Ta.

Ring 'em mate, its your prerogative isn't it? one of our lads got the letter about his third last week, so they're still coming.

Kinnel, where have I heard that before?

I got posted to RAFG in '76.....(no, not 1876.....) and was told when I arrived at eng wing hq that I was going in the bay.
I arrived at the bay to find that the guy I was replacing was clearing to go on one of the squadrons.

Three years later, I arrived back in the uk, posted to 6fts at Finningley, to be told, your going in the bay.
Like feck I am. I'm posted to 6fts, not the station.

After many flustered phone calls, I arrived in 3 shed, as someone else, who was posted in two days before, was moving out.

It's like things that go bump, in the night.
 
I had that when I got here.
Didnt actually replace the guy I was supposed to, got dumped out in the shed instead.:PDT_Xtremez_17:
 
Why not be a little sneaky about it? Go and see the Chief Clerk and request a 'careers brief', no better way of finding out info in my book!
