I know the raf regiment trainees do but do airmen/airwomen have to train with CS Gas???

Yes. CS gas is used as a training aid during the NBC part of training. It won't kill you, don't worry... But it will cause you to cough, have a running nose and streaming eyes if you don't get your drills correct....

You'll get a good dose during phase 1 training but only to show you the effects CS gas can have on you and to give you confidence in your General Service Respirator during subsequent CCS events should you get your drills correct.

Just remember when in the chamber with the rocks, do as your told. Don't mug them off by reeling your service number and name off in an incomprehensible blur of words as you'll only be forced to stay put, made to say it again and thus be exposed to more CS.

Oh, and definately do not run for the exit. That will end up quite nasty as well.
