Curry Wurst

  • Following weeks of work, the E-GOAT team are delighted to present to you a new look to the forums with plenty of new features. Take a look around and see what you think!
If you happen to be in London and passing Charing Cross station, it is worth walking down the side of the station to the Embankment tube station...If you go more than about 30 yds you will have missed "Herman the German's" wurst shop. Just the stuff to mop up the beer as you wend your way home on your first night back in UK...No idea how much it was though, I was a tiny bit under the weather!

I've a Bratty in the oven & some fries waiting to be dropped in the fryer, mayo & Curry Ketchup all ready to go...Sadly no Wobbly!

Unfortunately I'll have to wait until Saturday to try and recreate a slice of Germany. However, I just popped out to the offy during my lunch break and picked up some Monschof Kellerbier and Monschoff Swarzbier, just right for washing down a delicious curry wurst.

Just been to Aldi for brattys, then went to tesco for the rest of the supplies.................... to find they now have bratty's in the fridge with the rest of the sausages. Same make, same price. :PDT_Xtremez_14:

All the Lidl's around me (Bangor/Newtownards/Dundonald ect) stopped selling Bratties ages ago,so thankfully Tesco's have started stocking them! Still have 5 packs in the freezer just in case tho!

These shops you speak of, do they not deliver in the north?

They do, but they don't seem to display the full range of goods on the website, and I prefer to pick my own booze.

Tesco haven't got the bratty's available online.

I just my curry wurst as per Spike's curry ketchup recipe. Fcuking delicious, I'm now having a Monschof Original Pils to wash it down. Bliss.

Even though I live in Manchester I've never been to the Christmas Market. I think I'll let Mrs Ted to persuade me to go this year.

Starts on Thursday. Normally start with a Bratty and Gluhwein, then alternate currywurst, beer, bratty, gluhwein, currywurst, beer.............starting at the Triangle, then St Annes Square, Then Town Hall and streets off it. Few beers (English) in the pubs on the way back to Victoria and top up in the railway bar (Traditional).

Christmas is coming!

Now that sounds a bit like an invite to an e-goat manchester christmas pea-soup. I'm up for it. Any-one else................................? Where are we kicking off, John?

From past experience, Friday is a good day. Saturdays can get heaving, particularly towards Chrimbo. This week is out as I've got a job on in Bewdley. but anytime over the next weeks sounds good. It wraps up about the 22nd of December.

North West Goaters Currywurst team sounds good..(And beer if you want some).
