I was speaking to one of the DII Instructors at our OCU at Leeming and she was saying about a new DII-F Course due to start at Cosford. It's going to be 9 weeks and will cover everything that we can do on DII-F. Anyone know if a) there is a start date for these courses, b) there is a priority list for spaces and c) will TCW do our own training courses for the deployed kit (if it exists)

No, there is a 9 week DII-F course due to start soon. One of the instructors from Leeming is posted to Cosford and has been told that is what he will be teaching.

I had an Army Signaller friend that sent me a message asking what Cosford was like. I asked why and he said he was on a DII (LD) course. Is that just DII F in it's deployed status?

Are we providing the 3 services with the training? I know the siggies do cisco and MCSE type courses as part of their training so they sound the ideal people to look after DII.

Great, they are training us up on DII/F so that they can then come and take the jobs later down the line.

We are killing our own trade here peeps!

Lord knows why the training is being provided at Cosford when all DII training is on the DLP and Defence Intranet.

Because that is the mong course on how to drive your desktop, not how to deploy and build a full server set & network.
