hi there i'm new to all this lol.
This has probably been asked a million time but here goes again.
My fiance and i are getting married in august, then in october he will be moved from trade training at cosford into married quaters in scotland.
We have 4 kids and and 400 miles to travel will we be entitled to disturbance allowance with this been our first move to MQ.

Simple answer as I understand it is if the jockanese quarter is your first move then no. If you're smart you'll get into quarters at Cosford as soon as you get married. First move out of the way, job done. Then you can get removals from Cosford to Scotland and disturbance. I await patiently for correction..............

yeah scotland will be first move, and going to cost a fortune lol any one know of any cheap removal companies.

I agree with FLT. If you don't move into a MQ at Cosford your husband will only be entitled to a single person's disturbance allowance (around £100) plus car mileage allowance to his new post.

Puddy - Do you own your own home? If so, there could be a few other options open to you.

Depends upon length of trade training. That is my understanding anyway. You may not be permitted to live in it through the week with your family however.

I have just had a quick peruse of JSP752 and there appears to be no reference to a first move not being entitled to DA.

I know this certainly used to be the case but I'm not seeing it in the JSP.
