Div x player and DVD -RW

any one got any ideas why when i copy a film onto a DVD -RW disc, i cant reuse the disc again, even though i have deleted the film off the disc??

Yeh defo DVD-RW, which work fine on my samsung multiformat DVD player/recorder, but i cant seem to reuse them on my PC using the NEC multi format +/- R/RW drive

Have you checked the box (in the software) that finalises the disc so no further recording can take place on it?

CAnt even find a check box, but i can delete all recordings on my DVD player/Recorder

Have you tried just formatting the disk? Not an expert on RW disks, TBH I just use write once disks at 8p each.

Recording are not really deleted they just delete the direcory and forget where they put it.

what software are you using?

Nero wil saythere is data on the disc but will still give you the option to overwrite it

am using DivX player 6.4.3

Nero has an option to erase rewritable disc that should allow then to be used again.
