My lovely Dad passed away on Friday.

He served from 1956 for 25 years and his passion was rugby and he was well known in sporting circles because of it.

His name is Tom Lang. Does anyone recognise the name.

I would love to hear from any ex colleagues.

Thank you.

I apologise if I havn't introduced myself in the correct fashion or anything. Still very raw and brain bit addled.....

Hi, thanks for replying - he was in Aden 1957-59, Borneo from 1965-66, Hong Kong from 1970-72. I was only 7 years old then but have fab memories on Kai Tak and Stanley Market and other places there.

He was also based in Harrogate and Little Rissington in the late 70s and ended up at St Athens before retirement in the 80s.

oh and he worked on 'the piston-engined Varsities, Chipmunks and new Bulldogs at Little Riss' - that was taken from a newspaper cutting!

Basically, I think he was an aircraft engineer.
