Hi all!!

I am currently downgraded A4G3Z5 T, and it looks like I am going to be referd to a med board. The doc is of the opinion that I will be on meds that mean I can’t deploy for quite some time.
Im on at the 10 year point of a 12 year engagement, with an offer of 22 pending, which will not be signed and sealed until if and when I get upgraded.

If the med board decide that I am unfit for further service what will happen to me? Admin discharge, med discharge or will I be left to serve the final 2 years.

What happens with respect to pensions?
 
Will be in a similar situation in 5 months as on last of my 3 temp downgrades.

There has been much discussion about the subject on here so you may be worthwhile doing a search for relevant topics - type in discharge, you get plenty of Threads - at the very least you'll discover who really is in the know on the subject on here and who's best placed to answer your query (via PM).

From what I know, they probably won't extend you beyong the 12 yr point.

i'm in the exact same boat aswell mate... i have my med board referal medical on the 20th... i have done 8 of my 9 year engagement having had an extension rejected for 12... i'm still not 100% on whats going to happen with me yet... i have a few threads on the subject and there are some really helpful people on here i will let you know how i get on wit mine and hopefully that will help
 
I have a med board soon.
Initially my temp downgrades were extended past the 18 month point as I was still undergoing investigation/treatment.
I am still undergoing treatment but will hopefully get an operation soon as they have now exhausted all non surgical means.

I'm at nearly 17 years in so I'm hoping at least I can finish my 22. I can still do my job and would love to sign for LOS30, I guess it just depends on how long it takes the NHS to repair me and whether the rules and regs allow me to?
