  1. Just joined. I am a retired technical illustrator; was once a pongo and worked a couple of years for the RAF as a civil servant. Passionately against any form of defence "cuts", I follow the submissions on e-Goat with avid interest and sympathy over any watering down of the service and seeing it consumed by either the Army or RN in the forthcoming defence review. Politicos from both main stream parties have got the security of this country wrong so many times before and I fear it is going to happen again with possible eventual disastrous consequences!
