Evening all. Been out for a while now and have just re-discovered this site. I was tidying up my laptop and found an old file which had my log on and password, so I thought I'd have a look and see what's going on. I'm an ex ops bod who served at Lyneham, Gutersloh, Marham, Coltishall and Benson. Worked on sqns of hercs, tonkas, jags and merlins and had a few stn ops and ATC tours in there as well. I hope that any posts I make can add gravitas and wisdom to any threads, but I won't be above the odd barbed comment or **** take where necessary! After all, humour and banter were the backbone of the Royal Air Force when I was in. Now to catch up on a few of the forum threads and see what the main bleats are about. If it's anything like my day it will be OOA, fitness tests and PVR rates ...........

Missed me?

Missed me?

Cheers salty, missed you too. Enjoying catching up on the forums. Seems not much has changed since I left. Same whines, different generation........

Welcome (back) to the Goat Dan!

Did you serve on II(AC) whilst at Marham? Perhaps around the turn of the millenium?

Thanks Mutty. There is a distinct possibility that I may have been on the mighty II(ac) somewhere around the minellium. You too?

Never been to Digby or Wigan. Have I missed something?

In the far-off days of the 1950s when I were a lad, Dan Dare's batman in the Space Force (according to 'The Eagle' comic) was a fat man from Wigan called Digby, who puffed and said "Ee!" a lot. Clearly a forerunner of Northern Soul...
