Hello

I am Ex RN, and am hoping members on this site will be able to help me out on my family ancestry search as a relative was in the RAF. ( well someone had to be I suppose) I know squat about you lot so I need to ask you loads of questions etc.

What's the best forum to post questions about this to?

I am hoping that the banter is the same here as it is on other sites I am on for the Army (ARRSE) and Royal navy ( Senior Service don't you know ! ----ROMFT)( except the RN one is way funnier and full of rich humour and banter of course)

Cheers
Sherpa

We'll be the judge of which service has the best banter!!!!!!!! AND IT WILL BE THE RAF!!! :PDT_Xtremez_30:

PS...Welcome FEEESHEED!!!!

Do we still have a Navy?? I thought it was reduced down to 3 very effeminate men in tight pvc shorts and a small rowing boat.

Navy having the best banter? What a load of old dogs c0ck.... The only reason people join the Navy is that they were to effeminate to join the army and to thick to join the RAF.

pffft....we are the senior service...no matter how small a navy we have....

And we pioneered PVC shorts in the Falkands...oh yeah...that place where you lot turned up after we had finished cleaning up for you so your grunters could waffle on about "jolly flying what ho ginger"

Thanks for the welcome too
****s :livid:

I think you'll find that a RAF bloke who hadn't even finished his Sea Harrier conversion ended up Top Gun in that little skirmish. Could explain why a certain Mr Ward is so annoyed with the RAF too.

Senior service = old... And old belongs in the scrap yard... Much like most of the Navy is now ;)
