Evening all.
Joined as a Fairy Mech in 1991, stationed at Kinloss with the Kipper Fleet, Leuchars on missiles, Marham in the TNR bay and Waddington with the Sentry software teams. Left on my 15 year point as a Cpl as I wanted to earn some money, (or rather the now ex-wife wanted me to) ;).

Funnily enough I came across E-Goat via ARRSE as I also served three years in the REME before joining the RAF, (please don't hurt me).

Welcome.....I wanted the SST at Waddo but got posted to AWC instead...that was the beginning of the end for me.

So you left, what are you doing now ? And does it earn YOU more money ?

Anyways keep posting............Crack on..............:PDT_Xtremez_09:

I started working for a company that maintains the London Underground trains as an electronics tech, now I'm a Systems Engineer for another company that upgrades the lines - and yes, the money is vastly better. I was a 15-year time served Cpl yet when I started my new job I got an instant ten grand payrise.
I'd recommend working engineering on trains to any ex-techie as the money is ridiculous and they love us ex-services techies.
