Proper "Wing" types (not the new kids on the block stacker variety) to pull up a sandbag!

98-2007 do ya? or not long enough?

My good man, i was referring to your use of "Wing" and TSW, just for the record books, i believe that your unit has been living in the shadow of TCW, even going as far as to use our abbreviations!

A condensed history lesson from the RAF website

In 1962, the 38 Group Support Unit was formed and was based at RAF Odiham. It soon became apparent that communications were a significant support task and in 1965, No. 50 Tactical Signals Unit was formed, subsuming the communications support provided from within the 38 Group Support Unit. The Wing, as it is affectionately known, and its commitments continued to grow, and in 1967 it was renamed the Tactical Signals Wing, gaining its present name (TCW) in 1969.

91 - 99 not as long but its the quality that counts!:PDT_Xtremez_28:

4 tours, around 19 years on TCW. Not there now, it's a totally different beast to what it was. Also ex TG11 (was a Tel). PM me mate, might know you.

i heard you used to wait in bushes outside the mess and try and catch people without their berets on

that one statement as you know is very untrue. As you were there at the time and saw the bag of shoite that was there.

Okay gents, this is an intro thread, not gen chat. Feel free to carry on via PM.:) Thread closed.
