Hi all,

Im on a course 600 miles from my parent unit for the next 4 weeks.

Getting a hire car there and back but no vehicle for the rest of the time.

Is there anything you are entitled to claim for? I'm married in SFA at my parent unit. Accomodated on base for the course.

Cheers in advance,

PF

Get you home detached or LSA. Not sure who makes the call on which though....

Get you home detached. Think LSA is only if you are in field conditions. Should get a tidy daily sum for 600 miles. Should be started automatically once you have been 'moved and tracked'.

LSA if you can't make it back for a minimum of 24 hours at the weekend using public transport, I think.

In both cases if you are on a unit with a food charge this will be about what you get for LSA after TAX.

You can argue the case for receiving LSA if normally entitled to GYH. I'm 95% sure that JSP752 states that whichever is of more financially beneficial. This means that unless your on a silly total of LSA, it's usually just worth claming GYH.
