I have recently completed my JMLC and wish to sign on for 22 years, i'd been told that even after the SDSR this would be an automatic offer however i've since been informed that completing JMLC and trade specific promotion courses no longer gives you an automatic offer for extension of service. Anyone else heard this or know about the likelihood of being offered my 22?? I'll check with admin staff after christmas grant but wondered if anyone had any gen in the meantime?

Last I heard its still automatic mate from a few different admin types.

Someone may be confusing the new system for 12/15 years extensions which will have Bi-Annual boards now.

The wife just completed her courses and was told she should get an offer of 22 within a couple of months

Qwerty, Firstly, who told you the above???? someone in authority or a 'mate'?

Secondly, I can honestly say that I've seen nothing from Manning to support this. Considering we've had much bigger redundancy numbers in the past, and never once did we stop offering further service, I can't see this being true.

They have, however, stopped people from signing on, who have previously turned down an offer of further service.

Keep an eye on JPA as the offers normally sit there for a few weeks and then off they go! Remember to print it off if it does appear!

Offers of further service still come in hard copy from Manning, as there are still the P1/Medical/OC hoops you need to jump through.

Mate, i've just completed my IMLC.I have just signed my LOS30 extension at PSF.I did chase my LOS30 up by visiting the Manning website and asking the question to see if extensions were still being offered, they said that as long as you fill the criteria for extension then you get offered it,the SDSR is not,at present stopping extensions, although conitnuance has been stopped by looks of it. Hope this helps.cup of corrrfeee

you are still offered 22 years upon completion of your trda courses as it is part of your terms of service so you will be offered it ( that came from our trade desk a month ago )
