Extracting Pictures from a PDF

I'm having problems extracting pictures from a PDF file. The file is just a series of photos. When I follow the help instructions I just get a black square when I paste it into word. All the permissions for copying content say allow.

I'm quite computer literate but this has me stumped. Can anybody help please?

Isn't there an icon of a camera that allows you to take an image of any area of the sheet?

If you are running windows 7 there is a wee tool in the start menu called the snipping tool pretty easy to use and it will lift any image you want out of anything (even paused stills from video files)

Print screen, then paste into Paint, crop and repaste into Word.

Sorted.

or as i found out the other day, upload it to google documents, when it's presented back to you, right click, save picture as...
