Hi there,
I'm thinking about joining the RAF Reg. I have always wanted to join the RAF as an ATC however, in the past year or so I have found myself craving a job where i am on my feet actually doing something. This is what I believe the Regiment can give me and I also know through my father that the Regiment are a set of good lads, dedicated to the job in hand, something I want to be part of. I hope you lot can give me some good advice and nice intro to the working life of the RAF as I have only ever experienced the forces from a MOD civvy point of view.

Cheers, Ian Curtis ;)

Welcome to the goat & good luck.

However in the current climate I'd be more inclined to go for a trade that offers skills that can be useful in Civ Div,maybe in a aircraft trade as at least you can get work abroad, which is what a few of my old bombhead mates are doing now & a few of them have emigrated to Oz or New Zealand & are serving in their forces.
