Lately I seem to find myself listening to fast bands... :PDT_Xtremez_41: Don't know why, but I've come across some gems of bands.
For anyone who loves hearing ear-bleedingly fast music played to precision, I would advise you hear the following bands:

Dragonforce
Galneryus
Michael Angelo Batio
Yngwie Malmsteen

Any more suggestions?

Tried Steve Vai and Joe Satriani?

There's plenty more out there in the "shredders" group of artists, but would rather hear 1 perfectly phrased note as opposed to 64 because they can...

I've seen Dragonforce live a few times, mostly at festivals and once doing their own headline show in Aberdeen.
Once you get past the fact that they are very talented fast players they are actually pretty repetative and samey. Quite a boring band to be honest.

Have to agree with ming mong in part of what he says about dragonforce, i wouldnt say boring, more repetitive yes but then so are most bands these days. look at RHCP for instance. If you have ever seen an DF video you will be amazed. Still think they rock. good gym music actually as its fast and the tunes are long which is what i need on a treadmill to keep me going!!!!!!

Yeah Dragonforce are repetitive. But skilled nonetheless i spose....

Satch is definitely one of my all time favourites, songs he creates are scarily brilliant.
