it across to here:
Recent constraints on recruiting means that the NCAITC ,commencing 05 Oct 09 will need to be filled primarily by serving personnel.
To maintain the NCAITC at full capacity it has been decided to run a bespoke selection board for serving personnel seeking selection as NCA or DE SNCO ATC. As a precursor to this board, presentations will be given at RAF Cranwell on 26/27 May. Aptitude testing will take place the next day. For those who are successful, anthropometric measurements will be taken to identify candidates who are incompatible with our aircraft types. Those who remain interested and eligible will be given application packs and return to the NCA Liaison team.
Those who make a formal application for NCA and/or DE SNCO ATC duties will be invited to attend a selection board at OASC to take place over the period 01/02 Sep 09. However, each candidate will need to be physically fit and medically fit before they attend. The remaining elements of the OASC boarding process will be the same as the normal programme. Successful candidates will be informed in writing with an offer of service with the aim of each commencing NCAITC 05 Oct 09.
This new recruiting and selection initiative will optimise the likelihood of filling 241 NCAITC while providing a streamlined process for serving personnel as they will not need to visit an AFCO at any stage.
Hope this is of some help...
