Was just wondering what countries/tours you found your favourite and why? or it could even just be somewhere you have visted with the RAF. Just wanted to find out abit about different areas.

I have always enjoyed Southern Germany (Garmisch / O'gau area); the great food, greater beer and the scenery is fantastic. There is so much to do if you are into outdoor stuff!
 
Got to be Incirlik in Turkey. One of the best 'secret' dets known to man right up until our Tony decided to reblitz Iraq (****). All the American amenities, good accommodation and excellent people around you. Who could ask for more?
 
Gioa Del Colle, Italy.
Lovely rustic (partly run down!) part of Italy.
Work was 12 hr shifts, off work was 12hr pi55 ups!

Had a fab year in Belize. Sun, sea, Stapletons bit of jungle training, got to Cancun, Mexico City, and met some interesting people.
 
Spent 6 weeks in Belize on ex about 10 years ago. Good place, but for me, my favourite must be Gib - one of the RAF's best kept secrets. 100 guys there, spread out all over the Rock, but everyone knew everyone else and we always held the best parties - the RAF Social in The Stables, the summer round-robins, etc. The opportunities for travel were fantastic, with Spain, Portugal and Morocco on your doorstep, as well as the opportunities for sailing and sport. Great place, highly recommended.
