Well done to the Stoke they played well and Arsene should have known that the Britannia was probably the worst place to play his Kids (Campbell & Silvestre aside!) as it was obviously going to be a physical battle they couldn't win. It was all in the melting pot until Ramsey, who I think will go on to be the new Fabregas, tried a difficult ball instead of a simple square pass and Stoke's answer to Johna Lomu raced down the wing and supplied an incredible cross for Fuller's second. All over then, Arsenal never looked like coming back.

Good luck in the next round against Citeh, that should be a belter!

Off to give my 2p worth in the Football Rant thread now!!

Good question.

Why Delilah? What is the origins of the association of that song with Stoke City?

Various stories about when this started tend to circulate; from the Sensational Alex Harvey Band performing Delilah at the Vic ground, to the Stoke fans being locked in after an away match for two hours and Delilah being repeatedly played over the tannoy. I'm sure there are more stories out there too.

It's like the inbreds at Forest chant Mull of Kintyre, WHY? FFS!

The only reason I can think is "the mist rolling in from the sea" reminds them of the "gunsmoke rolling in from the Trent"
