There was a trawl for an Any Trade JNCO at Brize last year on the manning website.

Maybe try and contact the Any Trade drafter (or similar)

That was to assist the CDO, not FD unfortunately. At my Unit FD ask for personnel with relevant Q's to assist on a day to day basis. It's maybe worth talking to yours to see if that's a possibility. It at least keeps your hand in.

They're mostly TG17 posts, although not exclusively. There is one TG1 Sgt post but I'm pretty sure once that person gets posted it will be filled by yet another TG17.
You should pop down and see your OC FDS and offer your services.

Puma fixer, you seem to be covering every option on here, from commissioning to FD. Is it particularly crappy at the moment at Benson, or just time to have a complete change? Careful with NEM, but we should have the details by the end of this month. Anyway mate, best of luck with whatever direction to take.

I'm the keen and enthusiastic type, ready to give it everything and I plan to get to know my guys, get out and see what they do in all weathers, I'm ready to do everything I can and would be expected to do and hope that through my enthusiasm for the job and the RAF in general, I can inspire the lads to do a good job too and make the most out of the RAF and progress well with their careers. If there are any great pieces of advice or experience you can share, I would really appreciate it. Many thanks, PF

Quite a dramatic change over 3 months, from someone who wanted to get to know his guys to someone who wants to do anything but what you were posted in to do.

My advice, for what its worth is to stick at the job that you accepted when the offer of promotion was made.
