Hi Guys,

The travel rate (25p) that people get for journey not sport or HTD?

can this be submitted to HMRC at the end of the year to claim up to the 45p on the Tax form P87 (first 10000 Miles)

Discuss?

In simple terms I believe the answer is yes!

HMRC form F87 (I think), the local tax office can confirm, it can be downloaded from the HMRC site. Fill it in and send it off.
I've done it and got a cheque for a few hundred quid for a couple of years worth of travel. As mentioned in the OP HTD or 'Sport' is not valid mileage.
