Can anyone tell me what the future is likely to be for the Medical Support Branch?

thats a good question Jammy. It seems the branch is a vehicle to better things. Pulling teeth, noise abatment, Holby City extra...etc Todays puzzle: Add up number of TSs plus DOs and divide by years in Branch, that aint right is it?

Morning Penfold, MS,

Sorry for not introducing myself, came across this site whilst researching some careers for two friends and didn't have much time. Just a quick query, they were looking at the Army/RAF/Navy for careers in medicine and couldn't find out much on the "RAF MSO" role etc. A old family friend who use to be in, believed the trade of MSO was merging with the army or becoming an extension to the admin trade?? I guess with all the conflicts at the moment and defence cuts you will all be one soon!!....don't know much about "Holby City extra" MS, are you in any episodes??

Anyway off to bake some loaves and top pies!!

Morning Jammy, whAT happened to Penfold? Probabley rebranched to Admin Trg... To answer your question i cant stop thinking of Holby City as trade trg to really enjoy it. As for you friends wanting to do military medicine then they should talk to the Dr of the year up at Birmingham and get a copy of that Heather Small DVD where she's making us proud while laying down some quality 50mm SH style....anyway keep feeding Billy

I have a few questions, i am also interested in a career an MSO, i would not call my time a career so far, that implies planning by the Fat Controller. However, I undersatnd it is a harmonious and friendly branch.....unlike Admin Trg.

As for your friend, I have recently escaped from ARRSE...a much better site, but since I spend my time as far away from the my branch and holby city.......maybe they should consider the Army!......

Jammy, I hope that you get to brass up some locals or at least John Major, and dont worry the Branch sponors have always been fantastic and really look out for the next crop of new MSOs....

One question why such gay usernames....

Hey Jailor,

Sounds like you've had a real bum deal, all those Yanks and no MSO love! Maybe some quality time drinking latte in the center of the universe will put you on that career escalator and you can keep up with MS promotion (you should see the size of his new fish tank!) See you at brickshed in Nov. Oh and thanks for the advice, my friend joined the RAMC, more opportunity to do ops and a structured career path!......no idea what that means i'm watching.

Welcome Refromed Scribbley, Jammy thanks for your words of wisdom. I will not be around at the brickshed as I will be down under. It is a hard life, however, if our Scribbey friend is correct, this may it. As for questionaires, what waste of Time and almost as annoying as Penfold.
