Get your tats out

  • Following weeks of work, the E-GOAT team are delighted to present to you a new look to the forums with plenty of new features. Take a look around and see what you think!
To be honest, it won't change much - the 'finger tats' are only allowed if hidden under a ring, the eyebrow tats only refer to makeup, both of which people could have gotten away with anyway (nobody checks, nobody cares); it's only the back-of-the-neck tats that are a significant change, but I don't think that's going to provide a massive boost to recruitment...

You’d be surprised, there’s loads of people got tats that we’re hiding behind the ears or just crept over the collar.

God damnit TB...I saw the thread title, thought ‘Scottish pronunciation’ and ripped off my bro-bra...

Still think it’s odd that the airships are forward thinking on tattoos but a beard is still a step too far 😆

Very true, but how many of those actually want to join the RAF?

Whilst I'm wholeheartedly behind the idea of relaxing tattoo regs (and beard regs, but that's a different story), I just don't think its going to give recruitment the boost they're hoping for. Might go some way for retention though..

Might go some way for retention though..

I can't see it making the blind bit of difference to retention to be fair. There would be other reasons that convince someone to pull the plug and the beard/tatt thing might be used to strengthen their reason to bang out but doubt it would be the only cause.
