Saw them in Glasgow at the end of the Design for Life tour. Even they admitted in a Q interview it was one of their best ever gigs. I know they are getting older and mellower nowadays but they still sound bloody brilliant.

We saw them in the St Davids Center in Cardiff on the same tour and they were brilliant, we also saw JDB do an acoustic set at Renfrew ferry in Glasgow just before the whole tour kicked off....was a brilliant night and very up close and personal

I bet the majority of people there probably own about 20 cds.
The last record they bought was probably the Killers....and they bough it in Tesco.

Last year, Reading suffered from that a little with the Arctic Monkeys playing - lots of cnuts who obviously had no idea about how to conduct themselves at a gig.

I just went and watched Anti-Flag in the Lock-Up tent - problem solved.
Reading has some fantastic acts this year, really looking forward to it!
Kings of leon are the highlight for me, obviously disappointed that razorsh!te are above them in the listings, especially when you think that 2 years ago KoL were above them!
must say though that i saw the AM last year, and thought they were ok, certainly better than the kaiser chiefs, although i did head off to see dizzee rascal half way through cos it was chucking it down.

What about the Who last night? Did anyone else watch them? I never saw the beginning of the set but what I did see was very good. I thought that they were probably the best act all weekend, although with all the other crap that had been on it wasn't hard. For a band that have been around so long they certainly still know how to rock, sure they aren't quite the same without Keith Moon (not that I ever got to appreciate their music while he was still alive) and John Entwhistle, but Zak Starkey was fantastic on the drums. Pete Townshend is still windmilling his way through the songs and Daltrey throwing his mic about like a man possessed. They played a lot of the classics, including Pinball Wizard, Won't Get Fooled Again, The Kids are Alright, My Generation etc. Although I didn't hear them play my personal fave Who number Substitute, they may have played it earlier on. Worthy headliners and best act all weekend.:PDT_Xtremez_28:

Did Glastonbury in `02, made a ****ed-up decision to go just the night before and had to buy a ticket off a scouser in the village which turned out to be a VIP ticket...result. Part of the adventure was trying to get in, there were gangs of people outside who were tyring to dig underneath the fence, or scale it, and one group who tried to ram it with their car..Shame now you have to have your photo on the ticket to get in, and they sell out within seconds of going on sale. Its Leeds for me this year, easier to get in, not so many radio-friendly snec-FM "rock" bands and its smaller so you dont spend half your time walking between stages and miss the end/start of the sets.
