Ok so, I'm 16, and getting my GCSE Results in about a month. I'm predicted about 10-11 GCSE's all C and above (acordding to my teachers and reports).

I've been interested in joining the RAF for a while, going down the ICT route as an Airwoman, after the first year of sixth form. But I've heard from a lot of people say that I would be better of for going a commission straight away. Which would mean I would have to stay at sixth form for both years, which I'm not too keen to do.

So what are the opportunities to go for the Commission while in the RAF, and how easy is it?

Also, a friend recently went to Cranwell for the OASC and got turned down due to lack of 'Life Experience', although he had the grades, and high aptitude scores, so joined the RAF in a ground trade.

So would I have much of a chance, seen as I'd be going at the same age as him, 18?

I'm going down to the AFCO soon after I get my results and will be asking the same question, but I'm aware that they might be a bit biased :)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks
