Good day to you all

My name is nephilim (Do not wish to give out real name for PERSEC reasons). I am 25, losing a tonne of weight and getting fit, and looking to become an RAF ATC Officer.

Anybody here do that and how do you find the job?

Regards

Nephilim

don't bother dieting they live on doughnuts and it is ton not tonne!

Yes but there is still a fitness test and what have you to pass ;) lol

Yes, but if you lose a tonne, you will probably need to lose another tonne before you really lose a ton.

Welcome to the goat:PDT_Xtremez_30:.

No...lol, never even heard of them until now! Although I am not too far from them

I did.

Airman, nco and orificer. 21 years.

Loved every minute.

Go for it. Have fun. Do good.

I am guessing it set you up nicely for civvy street as well? Would you mind too terribly if I PM you?

Oh and a bit about me chaps

In terms of my weight, this time last year I was 34st 9lbs, and I am now 21st 5lbs. I made the decision to join the RAF but knew I would get laughed out of the recruiting office if I turned up at that weight. I showed up anyway and the recruiting Cpl told me I would never lose enough weight, I went last week and his face was a picture! I have another few stone to go, but as you can see, I am getting there!

I lost all of that weight sheerly through diet alone (eating sensibly instead of junk food, and drinking water or milk instead of soft drinks etc). I am now slowly beginning to work on my fitness as to be blunt, when I walk briskly it puts me out of breath. So I am doing a brisk walk daily for an hour, will be increasing speed and length gradually.

I think you are very selfish. Think of the poor tent makers you are putting out of work by shedding all the lard!
