Ok, Shineys - time to log in to JPA!!!

Check what grade step you were on 31 Mar 09 and check what grade step you are on today, as most of us NCOs at Cottesmore seemed to have gone down a step.

Having done some digging, the updates from lower to higher and correct bandings have been done manually, so there is nothing the Focal Point can do about it.

Stand by for the call centre to be overloaded.......

Same happened to me. Went from lower level 7 to higher level 6. Call centre could offer no explanation so have put in an SR. Have been told to hurry up and wait for a reply. Watch this space I think!

It can be done on SS, but you can only see what grade step you are on now. Logging on through HR Admin/Pay & Personnel will allow you to set the effective date on the screen back to 31 March.

This makes me laugh, you get a mega pay rise to the high pay band, then moan cos you've dropped a level.

Mistake or not, you cant have everything your way lol

I don't know if other records show the same as mine, but my level migrated over on 1 Apr correctly and then went down on 2 Apr!

a test?

a test?

Maybe its a test?
If you can sort it out you can stick at the levels.
If not then you prove you don't deserve it.

I always thought if you did change levels you went in as near to your current pay but not less.

It is always promised that you will stay at the same level but never happens.:PDT_Xtremez_30:

'cuse for barging in on a shiney thread, but does anyone know this type of thing occurs? Where something seemingly 'random' things happen with JPA, is it a simple case of someone pushing the wrong button, or pushing the right one but it does several things, unknowing to the person, some of which are wrong?

This one appears to be human error. We have a facility to find out who actioned an input on JPA. In all the cases at my unit, the ones that were wrong were inputted by two individuals.

Their names were included on our i-supports pointing out the faux pas (yes, we have to do that just like everyone else!!!)

The same thing has happened to our Sqn SE Fitts.

Hopefully it has been flagged up to the JPAC early enough to sort before the payroll process cut-off date, which is why I posted it on here so that the word could be spread.

Having checked my grade step today, it has now reverted to the correct level, as has that of my Cpl.

Hopefully everyone else's has also been addressed and we can all enjoy our full reward come April 30!

Been on leave since the end of last month, thought I'd check it out in here to see if there was any answers.

Looking forward to the end of the month, I never spend my money until I know its in the bank - I've seen too many pay errors in my time to spend it before I have it.

All those inevitable SACs who spend their retention bonuses two months before they get them! Twits!:PDT_Xtremez_30:
