Well, it's just under 2 and a half months until I do it all again. As I said at previously, this year I'm running for The Stroke Association in memory of my Grandad. I've got the 'loud' vest and I've set up the donation page. I appreciate that money is very tight at the moment but if you can spare anything no matter how small then please sponsor me at www.justgiving.com/deansgreatnorthrun .

Thank you :PDT_Xtremez_26:

Would it be possible for someone to show me how to create a signature montage thingy that will link to my Justgiving fundraising page?

Thanks :PDT_Xtremez_35:

8 weeks to go. I'm looking at smashing last years time, hopefully somewhere around the 1:45 mark. Trainings not going too bad at the mo, although I'm having to pack in lots of small runs as we're waiting for the arrival of stacker jr. number 2. Already running late as he/ she was due yesterday, not on time like his/ her big brother was. Sponsorship wise, I'm not doing too bad considering the current climate, around £50 on the Sponsor form and £45 on the Justgiving page. Like I've said before, I appreciate things are tight for a lot of people but if you can spare some cash to sponsor me, please visit www.justgiving.com/deansgreatnorthrun

Thank you :PDT_Xtremez_26:

My runners pack arrived today. I'll be running under number 36562. If you've already sponsored me, thanks!! If you haven't had chance yet please check out www.justgiving.com/deansgreatnorthrun

Last years time was 1h 56m 7s, this year I'm aiming for 1h 45

Just 1 month and 2 days to go! Wish me luck!! :PDT_Xtremez_30:

Mornin all
Well I'm up and getting sorted ready to set off up north :PDT_Xtremez_30: I've just got the last few bits to get packed (don't worry, the trainers were the first to go in). Then I'll be ready to hit the great north road. A1 all the way :PDT_Xtremez_35:

Wish me luck as I am really hoping to do Grandad proud by smashing last year's time of 1h 56m 07s.

Thank you for all your support and if you would like to sponsor me, visit here

Thanks again :PDT_Xtremez_19:

Well, I'm home now after a very tiring and emotional weekend. As ever the occasion was fantastic with a brilliant atmosphere throughout. It was needed though, as the hot weather made it very hard going. I finished it though. This year in a time of 1h 55m and 2s, that's 1m 5s quicker than last year! :PDT_Xtremez_19: Granted, it wasn't the target I was aiming for but given the conditions I can't be disappointed and hopefully I've done my grandad proud.

Thank you once again to all the Goaters who have supported me.

Dean

My Justgiving page is still open if anybody would still like to sponsor me :PDT_Xtremez_14:

Cheers Wobbly :PDT_Xtremez_19:

The weekend has just been made even better seeing the message that my wife and kids sent into the BBC :PDT_Xtremez_30:

BBC iPlayer link

I've already pre-registered for next years run (OOA permitting) but I think it will have to be part of something bigger. Watch this space!
