Thought it was time to stick my head over the parapet and say Hello!
Quick recap of mispent youth follows:-
Arrived Swinderby very late December '75, spent 6 weeks dressed in WW1 gas capes trying not to freeze up. Off to Halton as DE sumpy February '76, to learn how to take the wheels off the NAAFI vans at break time. October '76 posted to Royal Cornish Air Force for 4 great years on the real Nimrod Line. '80 to '82, interesting time at West Raynham as Bloodhound Fuelly. Developed strange addiction to Compo Sausage & Babies Heads....Quick trip to TPF Marham for therapy, then to the Fighting 431 at Bruggen. Back to Honington in '86, "thank you and goodnight" Decemer '87.
Spent a few years as civvy at Shawbury, played wth trains for a while and now working as an engineer for Pratt & Whitney in New Zealand.
Can't get away from the Cold War Gang as 1 in 4 of the tecchies over here seem to be ex British Forces! Anyway thats more than enough for now. Panwash.:PDT_Xtremez_28:

Welcome to e-goat Panwash.
There's plenty round here that wish to be back in those happy Cold War days.

Cheers MingMong. It wasn't all cheap cars & beer but it did have its moments and a sense of humour helped. I guess nothings changed in that respect!:PDT_Xtremez_27:
