Hello all. I do hope that wasn't an omen, but no sooner had I registered than my computer decided to go u/s, so seriously that it eventually needed CPR with a lump-hammer!
I am an elderly civilian [sorry!] with a life long interest in aviation in general and the Royal Air force in particular. A long long time ago, when aeroplanes were silver and uniforms were blue, I was accepted for pilot [GD] training but was unable to complete due a medical problem which came out of the blue.
This means that I do not have any tales of secret operations to tell [;-)], or how I single-handedly frightened the Russians off - sorry about that!
Thought I'd join E-Goat and offer my support, for what it's worth, because frankly I don't understand how morale stands up these days [and not just in the RAF either].
