I've spent all morning searching this, to no avail. What's the differance between GYH(M) and GYH(T) if any?

GYH(t) as far as i am aware ( I aint a shiney) is where you are married vol sep as live to far away and can't get home every night. Your home has to be over 50 miles away or take over 1:30 hrs to get in. So you get an allowance on how far away your home is from work. GYH(M) is for when you travelk daily from house to work.

I am sure this will be corrected soon if i am wrong

You're not a million miles away. However, GYH(M) and GYH(T) tend to be accepted as the same thing. A payment say for keeping a house in Odiham but being posted to Leeming. You could claim GYH(M) for the distance between the two. However, travel from home to work is Home To Duty (HTD) and can normally only be claimed up to a maximum of 50 miles.
