If you go into Halfords, go to the parts desk and show your RAF ID, and you can get a trade discount card :)

There can be some substantial discount (about 50% on an item I had priced up)

Won't work on buying in-car audio equipment though!
 
Got one but spares are not necessarily cheaper; some are some aren't. Halfords own brand items tend to be cheaper. It's always woth keeping an eye on the prices at the local motor factors still.

I have found that the local motor factor employees are quite knowledgable wheras there is a greater incidence of disinterested village idiots in Halfords.

Used mine last week to get windscreen wipers saved a few quid:PDT_Xtremez_28:
although have to admit if I wanted anything else I would still shop around.
