HARD-Fi are back!

New album's out on Sept 3rd and new single Suburban Knights is on the music channels. Lucky old Billy's got tickets to an exclusively intimate gig in 2 weeks time, when they'll be previewing all their new stuff. I'll report back then.

Anyone else a mahoossive fan?

are you trawling for a date there bill:PDT_Xtremez_42:

Nah already got one. Just thought I'd show off ::P:

For a venue of only about 150 capacity, and it's the only gig they're doing in Scotland, and you hadd to be invited to buy tickets. I reckon I've done not too badly for meself.

sounds good mate! have a good time!
thiink i might have caught the hard-fi single on mtv2, seems ok, have to be honest though, i did struggle a bit with 'stars of cctv':PDT_Xtremez_28:

Whisky Tango Foxtrot!? Stars of CCTV was a work of pure genious

Not a fan Bill - really really average band.

I love watch stuff in small venues though, you should have a top time.

Big fan of Stars of CCTV. Great album, hope the new one is as good. Enjoy your intimate little concert!! Jammy Tw@t.

Loved the Stars of CCTV album Bill and saw Hard Fi live at V festival last year. Generally a very good set, but that mouth organ thing doesn't come over too well live, they murdered a White Stripes number with it :PDT_Xtremez_08:

I think CCTV was modelled on the coldplay way of making albums. They made 4 or so good songs then the record execs told them that they need a few more songs to fill up the cd. and they didnt make the grade. saw them on da tv at t4 on the beach and TBH the cocky tw@t of a singer managed to destroy hard to beat by being a knob, being out of time with the muzak

4/10 must try harder IMHO

I saw Hard-Fi along with The Departure when I went and saw Graham Coxon at The Astoria in London well before they were famous.
Excellent band, but been very quiet and not hit the big time as I thought they would.
Heard new single this morning and to be honest I think its fairly average, but it may grow on me.
Have fun at the gig mate!!!!!!!

I've seen em in a bigger venue in aberdeen before and I must say they weren't terrific (Richard Archer did do a stunning, and I mean stunnning rendition of ''Move On Now'' though), so I can see where some of you're coming from. But as I'm such a fan of the first album that it's kept me listening.

For the big fans - I'll get a proper review and maybe some youtube-age/pics put up - if you're interested.

TBH bill your avatar used to be the CCTV album cover and bang on about them so much, so some of us might think you are a groupie and provide richard 'im a cocky tw@t' wotevermylastnameis, the hand/mouth relief he requires.

PS to hear a real band, listen to:

maximo park
nirvana
foo fighters
audioslave
rage against the machine
artic monkeys (for my sins)
Etc

TBH CoD I'm quite worried you've stalked me long enough to know all my previous avatars - I think this might highlight you as a closet bummer.

Now fnuck off p1ssmidget.

(PS. I own a copy of RATM's self titled album, which is pretty damned good so....::P: - Jog On)

RATM self titled album, is a legend on what ever format you own it on.

at the end of the day we all have differnet music tastes. Fair play, its just hard fi unlike you , dont make me hard.

oh dear it seems that my grasp of the english language is failing. :PDT_Xtremez_42: I blame being narrrfuk for that.

Im sure you really know what i mean, but just to set things straight, what i really meant was that Hard fi keeps BB happy, but unfortuneatly they dont do the same for me.

Although i will no doubt get hold of the album and give it ago.

All I can say is WOW. HARD-Fi were tip-top playing a mix of stuff from the last album and sone brand spanking new tracks off the album. Album pre-ordered and I'd advise any other fans to do similar. Stand out tracks for me were We Need Love, The King, and Tonight.

There's a heavy Clash/Jam influence through some of these, and even some Motown. Spot on!

When is the album released? I will need a few pressies when I'm in the Falklands, I'll get the missus to buy it for me!!
