Well, just as everyone els new to the site has done I though i would do the same :D. My name is Ryan, I am 18 years old and live in sunny old Edinburgh, (not sunny ALWAYS WINDY AND RAINING).

I have been in the army for a short time, was a rectruit at ITC catterick and was joining the Royal regiment of scotland. About week 7 into training I decided to DAOR. The reason for this is because I elt the need to go to college and get a few qualifications so when I come out i have something to lean back on. After the Platoon staff, mates and family telling me "Don't you will regret it, all this hard work for nothing". So I chose not to listen and got my wish I was out of the army within 2 weeks of handing in my notice. As soon as I Stepped out of the gates of camp for about 10 secondsI thought "what im doing is right." 10 seconds passed by then " oh my god what the F**K have i just done !"
I hated every minuite being out of the forces and still do right now, I am a **** for leaving and I can only blame my self.

So after doing some research on the RAF and it's various roles etc I have decided that I would REALLY love to be a gunner in the RAF regiment ! I dont need college, I will stay in for a full career. I am going into the office today and BEGG them to let me back in, I don't care how long it will take, as long as im in then I will be gratefull and be the best I can be. So fingers crossed I get another chance to prove my self this time.

Message to new people joining, DO NOT LEAVE !
