so ive just signed up bascically for some very last minute reading and advice.
ive been applying now for nearly a year and i have my OASC date which is the 19th of this month. TUESDAY. im ****ting my pants really.
i watch the news averyday and read the non tabloid press for current affairs. its very hard to try pick one thing to concentrate on, but im sure i will be ok. my memory seems to get better under pressure.
in terms of fitness im sure since ive been going to the gym and doing a fair a bit of running that it shouldt really be a problem. im relatively fit as it is.
im applying to join as a WSOP and since my cousin also joined as a WSOP and then moved to 22squadron in chivenor as a radar/winch operator i have been able to ask for his advice and ask him questions. i went to see him at the base which was great.
my main concern is the knowledge of the RAF, the official RAf website is huge as it is and looking makes my head hurt. other sites are useful too but as with any exam/ interview noone knows what questions will be asked so its hard to focus on certain things.
ive been advised in the leadership exercises to be pro-active and contribute a lot which im extremely good at maybe a bit too good at, taking criticism isnt a strong point of mine but i need to be able to make a nice balance on the day.
im greatly looking forward to going on tuesday and really looking forward to the aptitude tests. im probably more scared im going to forget something like my shoes or gym kit.
wish me luck everyone cos i hope to god i pass and make everyone i care for proud of me
