Well seeing as I check this site a fair bit at the moment for info I thought I would be polite and introduce myself ;)

My name is John im 21 currently living in Bradford. I lived with my dad on various RAF bases untill around age 10 when he decided that he had enough of it all and we buggered off to civvi street.

Been interested in joining the RAF since I was around 5 or 6 years old and although considering other options given to me (my dad didn't seem keen on me wanting to join for a looong time) I am finding myself applying to be an avionics engineer ;) Not much else to say really haha hopefully I will get through and you may be seeing much more of me here ;) Depends on the damn medical now and what the wing commander has to say about it all! Wish me luck fella's haha
 
Welcome to the GOAT and good luck with your application.

Excellent choice of trade. I've been in Avionics (started as Flight Systems) for almost 23 years and enjoyed being in the trade even though I've never worked on an aircraft.
