Hi Goaters Its taken me ages to get here

My name is Avid - no really it is but Merrion isn't my real surname though

I was a UAS student till just recently till one of the Instructoresses complained about me. Anyway there loss.

I've got good A levels in Business Studies and Chemistry and can't make up my mind whether to join as a Weapons Mechanic or an Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic. My dad is ex RAF he was a Fairy splitter or something - he did an apprenticeship but I don't think you have them anymore - worst luck - they sound well qualified at everything

I must say the career profile of the Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic sounds really interesting and I spoke to a guy in the pub outside college (he works in the Army Careers Office) and he said promotion prospects look really wicked.

Anyway thats me - oh almost forgot I'm a bloke and definetely not Gay (tried it didn't like it) if anyone want sto no anymore just ask OK

Any tips for getting in and particularly if there are any PTI's who could give me some good training advice that would be real cool

Avid

I focking LOVE shalabrity!

Don't go asking the PTIs for training tips mate, there's only one in here and he's an ar$e, he's usually off sunning himself somewhere on "expeds".

Do lots of running for a couple of months, some press ups, and some sit ups. It's that easy.

Welcome to the goat!

Learning point for me...You didn't mention that you had been thrown out of uni, only out of UAS? Or can you belong to a UAS and not be at a uni?

So your dad was an Appo was he?

Ask him if he ****s goats or dogs - he'll know what that means

And I reckon you should be an armourer they will love you
