I am 24 year old male interested in the RAF for discipline, to learn to fly and shoot firearms, and for travel benefits. I was curious if everyone usually gets a gun or rifle and if everyone learns to fly or what the stats are on those issues? Also are we allowed to contact the Chief of Air Staff and how?

Cherrs,
MikeyG

Welcome you'll do nicely, now how are you fixed for a fiver for AAAHS and then I'll answer all your questions my son.

Yes we are all trained typhoon pilots and carry around pistols at all time. In fact, the NAAFI bop is akin to a Saloon in a Western movie.

We march everywhere and sleep at the attention, if we don't we are charged and heavily fined. There are full kit and uniform inspections twice a day swiftly followed by 2 hours worth of PT.

Unfortunately with the demise of the Women's Royal Air Force (WRAF) they are no longer issued to pilots as bed-warmers...and remember, a gun is for fun.

All of the above are available in the RAF...Sadly not for you until you get off whatever narcotics you are abusing at the moment...Not even a 24 year old retard would ask a question like that...

Wind up.

From what I remember its only the boys that learn to fly and shoot stuff, us girlies got taught how to make munitions and how to make do and mend stuff oh hang on no.. that was WWII, yes sorry the whole RAF is a well oiled disciplined fighting machine with the latest technology and enough funds to keep it ahead in todays war against terror. Oh and we all know each others email including all the heads of state and the queen of shebas!

(is this what the boys in green refer to as a 'wah' ?????)

Can anyone be bothered to go over to AARSE and find the "HA, HA I've got the crabs all wound up" thread and post a link? I can't be arsed (geddit?).

If its discipline you're looking for you need to get in touch with Kat in the Hat or Mrs Monobrow they'll straighten you out mate

Oh and welcome to egoat

I did have a good look, but there's nothing doing so far. I'm as cynical as you seeing as he knows what a "Chief of the Air Staff" is, but doesn't know if EVERYONE flies planes!
The ARRSe thread will appear in all good time I imagine.

Just gave CAS (Glenn as we all know him) a ring and he said he'd love to hear from you, he also said that you can collect your Gun from the carreers office as soon as you like (along with your kings shilling). He's put a new typhoon aside so that you'll have a company vehicle as soon as you sign on the dotted line.

Give him a ring you can get him on (01732) 764434

Like rugby says, we all get on with Glenn.

I'm his personal confidente on hairstyle matters. And hey, if you don't like the Hitler "Herr Flick" side parting, mind your own business. I think it suits him.

Have my whips and chains poised at this very moment in readiness for a nubile 24yr old..... now that would be fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

can you supply your own hancuffs

I've got 3 sets u can borrow, as well as velcro leg restraints. We've got spit hoods somewhere, I'm sure they'll double as gimp masks for him.:PDT_Xtremez_28:

Just been chatting to Mr Torpy (Glen) and he said that he hasn't heard from you yet MikeyG. And he went to all that trouble to get your gun sorted out. I suppose that is the problem with todays youth, they just can't be bothered.

KITH. How about a slighty delusional 42yo? I come (ahem) complete with my own patented, built in, internal back support...

MikeyG,
RAF life not for you?
Then why not join one of our marvelous public services?
I'll give you all the info needed on the Fire Service and Tigger will sort you out with the Police.

Both are very disciplined, have a swanky uniform and wonderful exiting vehicles. Who knows, you may even get to take one home!
Alas only the police will allow you a weapon. You'll have to make do with a squirty hose in the fire service.
Oh, our top brass are oh so approachable as well.
Bonus!

Please, please, please tell me when your first day of basic training will be and I'll take the whole day off to come and watch. The RAF needs more of you fine young fighting men, people who have the moral fibre to tell the instructors to stick their pace sticks up their ar*e.

Yours

For Chief of the Air Staff
