Hi mate,im new to the GOAT myself allthough an old fart.

I doubt basics has ever really changed much since the days of the Roman Legions

The training methods, standards of comfort and severity of the disipline may change with the times, but the objectives remain the same.

Must admit i dont fancy buffering up a carpet much!!!.

Have a good career 252

Haha yeah, Nah not the way we are trained just how the trainings longer and what weeks things are one ... bla bla bla

Anyways cheers for the welcomes !

I'm due to leave for the Raf Regiment at Honington 1st November but I've got questions about going.

1) I'm going to buy the basics on the kit list supplied but are there any extras that I should preferably take?
2) Do I take the kit in a suitcase or just a large sports bag?
3) I there internet access and such things while away during training?
4) Has anyone already got experience of regiment training?

Also how is the training, whats the highlights and the downsides?

thanks in advance, Curt
