Been lurking on here for a while, finally decided to sign up as I'll no doubt have questions in the coming months. Been looking mainly at becoming an Aircraft Technician (Avionics/Mechanical) due to my interest in anything mechanical!

Thanks

Welcome to the Goat, and good luck with your future career.

You can't go wrong with a technical trade behind you, (Be it Aircraft or ground orientated).

Have you left school? Finished A levels?

My thinking exactly! Always good to get a trade behind you! As for the A Levels, yes I have just finished resitting A2 (Missed out on a A by 3 marks last year!) Im 19 right now.

Do you have any Electronics experience? Don't worry if you don't they'll teach you the things you need to know at Cosford.

Aim high at the careers office, especially if you have A levels under your belt. You worked for them so make them work for you.

Sadly not, I tried to get onto the electronics A Level course at 6th Form but they removed it the year I went in due to it being too expensive to continue running, I had to take 3D Product Design instead (Which is more mechanical)

Thank you for the advice, I will make sure I do!
