Hi ya Goaters just a quick message to say hi how are ya and all that sorta stuff you say when you are a newbie.
I am looking forward to posting on here to see what you crazy cats have got to say for yourselves. Am in he RAF at the mo, aren't we all. Anyway thats about it, Take it easy Goats,

Even more a 'newbie; than you! Going off on a real tangent here, but are you actually a drummer? If so what sort of stuff and where do you play? Reason I ask is just getting back into it myself after a 20 year (marriage - forced!) absence.

Yes mate I am a drummer been playing for a few years now. I am mostly into Rock/Metal. But have to play what the crowd wants to hear so was mainly playin latest chart Rock, StereoP's, killers, The Foo,s, Green Day etc middle of the road stuff. I have been in a few bands on my travels around the RAF. However since my posting down to the south of england I haven't been able as yet to grace the stage with my beats. I am in the process of getting a band off the ground so hoping to be out on the road soon. What about yourself???

Playing at the Wyton Officers Mes Christmas Draw on Friday, having done their summer ball. Hitting the pub cct after Xmas. I've attached the 50 minute set were playing on Friday to give you an idea. We're a 4-piece: lead, bass, vox and drums. I've also attached our poster.

Like the set list mate good mix of tunes. Seen a couple of tunes on there that I used to play. Always did the Metallica version of Whiskey. I found it went down better. Plus as a drummer I could really give it some. I was previously in a five piece band that was whittled down to four.
Was Playing a Pearl export Eight piece along with an 8 by 14 Snare that used to eat people alive including me. Am now with a six piece Mapex. I have done the dirty on sabian and switched to zildjian. but having the money for paiste rude would change this (Of Course). I left the band behind with the new posting. I Am wanting to get out on the scene around the south pretty soon but as yet I have not got my arse into gear. what is your band called mate???
