Hi there,

Just wondering if any sections would be willing to help a struggling Air Cadet unit with getting kit of any description we are mainly looking for blue or cs95 kit that is no longer required, Cheers for the help

So dont you have a liason team at Leuchars?? Ask them to have a word with the people in DSF there to see if they have any kit for you.
 
Is this the same Air Cadet Liaison Team that have just won a commendation in the New Years Honours List?

If so, why?

Are they aware of your requirement?

Certainly the person referred to in my previous post has ben amenable in the past.
 
I'm a stacker at leuchars and oh my god, you'll struggle to get a pair of socks off them!!!!!!! Honestly you'd have more chance borrowing a tonka for the day!
Try phoning clothing stores at Lossie they bin loads of surplus kit, or if you ask them where they send there disposals too, i can't quiet remember but i'm sure Lossie would be far more helpful!
 
Sorry, I don't understand your problem. You are entitlked to Blue and CS95 kit, you submit your demand proforma to Clothing Stores and hey presto. If you are hving difficulties with the said Civvies a call to your HQ at Cranwell will sort them out.
Or have misunderstood the problem here!!!!!:S
 
I must agree with TAB ETX SEND, Place the demand on Leuchars and if they reject it get on to Cranwell, the ATC clothing budget is not Leuchars's so they should issue you what you need regardless of any 'restrictions' on the rest of the Airforce. Press to Test I guess place the demands and then challenge.
 
Unfortunatly the cadets arent scaled for cs95 kit all is self bought, howeer they are scaled foe blue kit
 
you'll not get anything for leuchars clothing trust me mate so i would suggest that you have a look on the web.

you could always speak to an army cadet unit around your area if anything it'll build relations.:PDT_Xtremez_35:

i worked in stores at leuchars whilst i was helping out with a cadet sqn and i couldn't even get anything they'll keep telling you the old story that they have no need for them when eveyone who has ever helped with cadets know that they do.

it might be worth getting hold of there sqn wo and playing the kids in need card (dont have the money to buy there own kit ect ect ect credet crunch) you never know he might be able to sort you out. you'll never get anything from clothing if you go to them so try above them.

Try contacting 603 Sqn in Edinburgh, they may be able to help. Sorry, don't have a number for them.
 
if u cant get 603 try the air cadets in st andrews they might be able tae help u out contact numbers
