just thought i'd drop in and say hello.

i just passed my PJFT yesterday... im looking to join as an ICT spec.

(anyone know whats a good time on the 1.5mile run?... i made 9mins45sec... although i could've pushed myself a bit harder in all honesty)

if anyone has any info on the best squadrons for mobile comms systems.. mainly installing gear on the front line.. i dont want the desk job too often =p (the sgnt. in the afco wrote me a nice list... but i annoyingly had my bag stolen).. i'd be greatful of any replies :PDT_Xtremez_26:

Welcome to E-Goat :PDT_Xtremez_19:

I'm currently going through training at Cosford for ICT Tech as it's now known. You will enjoy it very much, it is a very diverse trade from what I have learned so far.

Good luck with the rest of your application.

Fantastic! hope its all going well for you :PDT_Xtremez_19:

i've just gotta wait for the afco to contact me now i guess.
i was told that its very likely i'd be going in early next year.
does anyone know how many intakes they actually do a year?

Thanks, everything is good so far, 2 months left!

When I was at Halton they were taking intakes on every 2 weeks, that was a year ago now so I'm not sure if that's changed but it gives you a good idea :PDT_Xtremez_26:

Me and Mr MP are at cosford my old trade was TCO tg 11 which is now TG4 if you want to go out in the field best bet is to go on the wing (TCW) eventually the whole trade is going to be on the wing they have been saying this even when i was in ive been out over 3yrs now. Or go to 90SU. The wing are always willing to take people and know a few sgts, cpls and many sac's who love the job. I think as long as you have no gf or children no commitments like that you should love the wing as you are away a lot of the time!!
Hope that helps
Mrs MP
