Hi all. I'm an ex-SAC photographer and was based at Lossie. Began Halton 27 Sep 2000 and (why, oh why!?) PVR'd 16 Jan 2006 after some 'personal' issues that were ruining my swede. Currently in training to become a Merchant Navy deck officer but I'm considering trying to get back in, maybe as an Int An. I realise how bone the majority of the population are and also how much I miss the RAF (miniscule and overstretched as it now is). Is there anyone in the crowd that can tell me what the crack would be for rejoining?

Weelcome Steve

Chances are someone will know about re-joining but the quickest and most accurate method is to go straight to the CIO mate - things change all the time and there are more vacancies in some trades than others. I dare say the recruiters would be your best bet for teh rules and regs on it all. Good luck anyway

Welcome to the goat........some will say (me included) you need to get your swede re-examined if your thinking of rejoining !!

Enjoy and Crack on.................:PDT_Xtremez_09:

Just been to the CIO, looks like there'd be no probs with me re-enlisting!
Could take a few months with all the interviews/medicals/fitness test etc. then maybe only 2 weeks at Halton doing CCS before going off to trade training. Only problem is they may only offer me the remainder of my 9, which would be 3.5 years, which isn't long to get my tapes. Reckon I could extend easy enough though.
Might finish off my MN training first, which is due to end in March, and then stick in my application proper!

I went to Halton on 13th September 2000, so you were just a little behind me, Hello anyhow
