Hi im almost out of the mob (13 Nov10) after 22 yrs 93 days as a squipper, one question is when will i receive my pension and lunp sum, have heard anything from 1 wek to 6 weeks......

Oh dear. Those extra 93 days are bound to invoke some obscure sub para somewhere that reduces the pension by 21p per cal month, but will always get overlooked for at least two years and result in seventy five letters and phone calls and a desk audit followed by a reduction to regain the overpayments, during which any increases will be witheld. At some point your nationality will be challenged by someone who is clearly not English.

Whether you get the first installment in one week or eight is the least of your worries.

But there is a bright side. You won't have to phone half-way around the world at 12 midnight and wait for a clerk for half an hour several times a month. Like I have had to.
