Just filling in my afternoon at work, seemed like a good time to finally put out an introduction. It looks like I've finished half a job by registering a good year and a half ago, then never doing anything else....

Ex fairy, coming up to my ten years after leaving point. The approaching anniversary must be making me all nostalgic.

Time to plump up me sandbag and read through what I've been missing....

Thanks for your messages, chaps!

Still living in the Sarf (Berks), 24 years after running away from the Highlands at 17 to join up. Remarkably still working avionics, (systems engineering for a US based firm) despite thinking I was leaving the service for something new and exciting nearly a decade ago.

Still get to visit UK stations from time to time, so hear how things 'ain't what they used to be' over tea and hob nobs.

The service bit was all straight forward enough. Three years at Cosford 87 through 90, then posted on to 33 whilst the majority of them where out in sandier climes.

Another 11 years on the SH bungey saw me at Odiham, Benson, Aldergrove then Benson again (all 33 and 72).

After a year out, a lucky conversation with an ex 33 mate at a Benson Christmas Beer Call opened up a nice start where I am now. Beer fuelled career networking has proven to be better than agencies....!
