Hi all!

Been nosing on the forums for a few years now.

I'm Jay, 25 and from London.

Im not in the RAF, applied 5 years ago, things didn't go my way (my own fault) I get to re apply at the end of this year November/December so ive been spending the first half of this year getting my fitness up and dropping the weight.

A few generations of my family has been in the forces Granddad was in the raf worked on the now retired Vulcans.
His brother was in the Army. My other granddad was in the Royal Malta Artillery during WW2.

My old man was in the Air Cadets if that counts haha and my younger cousin is currently serving in the Army.

Also out of respect, id like to thank you all for your service.

Cheers,

Jay

Hi Jaymo and welcome!

What trade did you go for? What went wrong? What do you fancy trying for this time around?

Hi Vim, thanks!

When I first applied, I applied for the RAF Reg. I don't know why but its something i've wanted to do. People ask me why don't I join the Army instead but they don't understand the differences.

I still have my heart set on being RAF reg but I'm a qualified Plumber and Data Telecomms Engineer so if it would be more beneficial for my skills to be used then so be it but I guess that would be down to the guys in the office when I next apply in November/December.
